MPI-PHARMACEUTICA History

M.P.I. Pharmaceutica GmbH was founded in 1985 in Hamburg (Germany) and is an international import and export company for primary products for the pharmaceutical and veterinary industry as well as for dietary supplements.

The owner-managed, family-run company employs commercial agents in over 50 countries around the globe and has been operating a representative office in Mexico City since 2004.
Partners of M.P.I. include multinational corporations as well as small and medium-sized companies mostly in Latin America and Eastern Europe.

Company founder Franz Gerhardy sen. was already active in the 1960s in the international pharmaceutical and chemical industry, among others in New York, Bangkok, São Paulo and Mexico City. After he returned to Germany, M.P.I. soon established itself as a powerful trader for primary pharmaceutical products and dietary supplements under his management. Due to the large volume of the transatlantic trade relations Franz Gerhardy jun. is serving the numerous Latin-American clients directly from Mexico City since 2004.

Since its founding, M.P.I. Pharmaceutica GmbH has been a family-operated business. This guarantees a flat hierarchy.
