FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t I use condoms several times?

A condom should reliably perform two key tasks:

  • it should prevent an unplanned pregnancy and
  • help protect against sexually transmissible diseases.

If used correctly a condom should even be effective during vigorous love making - when it needs to be especially durable. However, after ejaculation the penis becomes flaccid and the condom is no longer tight. This means that the “fit“ is now too large. At this point this is not a problem and if the condom is held firmly and withdrawn with the penis from the vagina, then everything is fine.

If this is not done, however, there is now sufficient room in the condom for sperm to travel from the reservoir tip through the condom and into the vagina. If it does not fit correctly the condom will slip out of position in the vagina, which means that it will no longer fulfil its purposes.

Moreover: condoms are only intended to be used once. Washing a condom out after use would further stress the material, which has already come under strain during sex – and the original fit can no longer be achieved. And quite apart from the above: there would be a safety and hygiene problem. Used condoms aren’t sexy. Better to buy branded condoms from masculan® – they’re completely safe and reliable.

It is true that condoms are hard to put on?

This is complete rubbish. It's very simple to use masculan® condoms correctly. There is only one way to roll a condom over an erect penis without a hitch – but the penis must already be stiff. Nothing can go wrong if the condom is used in accordance with the instructions in the masculan® packaging*. The condom should be carefully removed from its protective foil and must not be damaged by sharp edges or pointed objects – for example, by jewellery or finger nails in the intimate area.

Our tip (for men and women): If you have never used condoms before and are therefore uncertain, buy a few and practice handling them correctly. Then you’ll be more confident when the time comes to put one on.

*The instructions should be read very carefully. Although brief, they contain information that must be taken into account. There is vital information, for example, on the shelf life and storage of condoms and what to look out for when using lubricants.
